AI systems are fundamentally transforming the world of work. However, their opacity can hinder employees’ creativity, initiative, and problem-solving abilities. The DFG-funded project “Human Generative Drive in the AI-Opaque Workplace (GAIO)” will investigate, over a period of 36 months, how AI opacity influences employees’ generative drive and which transparency measures effectively counteract it.
The project combines qualitative field research, quantitative surveys, and design science research. You will work at the intersection of business informatics, organizational research, psychology, and HRM, taking on research and organizational tasks that contribute to your academic qualifications and preparation for a Ph.D.
