On May 06, 2021, the Legal Hub, consisting of the Chair of Public Law, Media and Information Law, will host a Community Night concerning "Typical Legal Issues of Startup establishment".
The evening will start with three short presentations of about 30 minutes on the topics of data protection, intellectual property rights and corporate law by Prof. Dr. von Lewinski, RA Sören Strahl and Matthias Haag. All three have experience in dealing with startup-related legal issues. Afterwards, the Passau based startup Pionize will introduce itself: Pionize is developing an IoT platform that allows customers to find, buy and, for the first time, control their customized smarthome system with just one app. The discussions will focus on legal obstacles, startups like Pionize have to overcome when establishing themselves and possible options to deal with them.
The event will conclude with a Q & A; this will be joined by another guest with practical experience in supporting startups. RA Dr. Daniel Holzmann, who himself provides legal advice to startups and also supervises the startup accelerator of the BSH Group (part of the Bosch Group) with regard to legal issues.
