Laura Stock is a PhD student at the Chair of Development Economics and part of the DFG Research Training Group 2720: "Digital Platform Ecosystems (DPE)".
She holds a master's degree in Development Studies as well as a bachelor’s degree in International Cultural and Business Studies, both from the University of Passau. During her studies, she worked as a project coordinator and student assistant at Zukunft: Karriere und Kompetenzen (ZKK). She also gained practical experience at the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ), the Africa Office of the Bavarian State Chancellery, and at Goethe Institute.
In her dissertation, Laura focuses on the effects and potential uses of digital platforms in the sub-Saharan African health sector. She is particularly interested in sexual and reproductive health as well as chronic disease management.
