Adrian Hofbauer has been a research associate at the Chair of Information Systems with a focus on Explainable AI-based Business Information Systems at the University of Passau since March 2026. He also completed his Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Information Systems with a specialization in “AI & Data-Driven Business” in Passau.
Prior to this, he earned his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Information Systems from Landshut University of Applied Sciences. His academic career is founded on a completed vocational training as an IT specialist. Adrian Hofbauer gained extensive practical experience in the fields of machine learning, data engineering, process automation, and ERP and process management at Altruan GmbH and Stela Laxhuber GmbH, among others, as well as during his bachelor's thesis at xpecto AG.
