Christoph Pelger, Franziska Sterl, and Katharina-Maria Wagner attended the annual conference of the European Accounting Association (EAA) at Luiss Guido Carli University in Rome from May 28 to May 30, 2025. During the conference, Christoph Pelger presented the current working paper “Where living laws collide: The case of the FASB/IASB's objective of financial reporting in the conceptual framework” (co-authors: Selina Orthaus and Carsten Erb). Katharina-Maria Wagner presented her current working paper on “The impact of environmental awareness on environmental reporting quality and environmental performance” (co-author: Christoph Pelger). Christoph Pelger was also involved as a panelist at the symposium “The design of publishable studies contributing to policy relevant questions,” where he discussed the question: “How can qualitative research help to address standard-setters' questions?” He was also a discussant of the paper by Ghio/McGuigan/Powell on “Upholding ‘normality’ in accounting: Positioning queerness as deviant.”
