The 50th Anniversary Conference of the journal AOS, one of the world’s leading academic journals in the field of accounting, took place on 4–5 September 2026 at King’s College London. The conference programme featured interesting presentations and discussions on papers covering various areas of accounting, reflecting the breadth of AOS.
Amongst others, the paper by Christoph Pelger, co-authored by Thorsten Sellhorn (LMU), Victor Wagner (Stockholm School of Economics) and Katharina Weiß (LMU), entitled ‘Strategic expansion in a contested regulatory space: The IFRS Foundation’s move into sustainability reporting’ was selected by the journal’s editors for a presentation. It was discussed by Professor David Cooper (University of Alberta), followed by an open discussion with conference participants.
