Herzlich Willkommen beim Lehrstuhl für Development Economics

09.04.2013: The European Report on Development (ERD) 2013 "Post 2015: Global Action for an Inclusive and Sustainable Future" seeks to contribute to the global reflection on the post-2015 development agenda by providing independent research-based analysis, stimulating debate and building common ground among key stakeholders.

The ERD is an independent report, supported by the European Commission and seven EU Member States (Finland, France, Germany, Luxembourg, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom) in the framework of the “Mobilising European Research for Development Policies” initiative. The ERD 2013 was prepared by a research consortium of the Overseas Development Institute (ODI), the German Development Institute/Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik (DIE) and the European Centre for Development Policy Management (ECDPM).

16.01.2013: Die Anmeldefrist für das Seminar Development Economics (BA), das im kommenden Sommersemester angeboten wird, endet am 1. Februar. Am 4. Februar findet eine Vorbesprechung statt, in der die Themen zur Vergabe sowie der Rahmen des Seminars vorgestellt werden und Raum für Fragen gegeben wird. 25.10.2012: The World Development Report 2013 on "Jobs" has been published.
The WDR stresses the role of strong private sector led growth in creating jobs and outlines how jobs that do the most for development can spur a virtuous cycle.

Im Rahmen eines Forschungsprojekts für die Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau (KfW) hat der Lehrstuhl für Development Economics 2 Master-Arbeiten zu vergeben. Die Arbeiten sollen sich mit den Beschäftigungseffekten von Infrastrukturmaßnahmen auseinander setzen. Weitere Infos finden Sie hier.

Go Africa...Go Germany 2013/2014: Deutschland - Namibia

Die Stiftung Partnerschaft mit Afrika e.V. vergibt Stipendien an Studierende und junge Absolventen und Berufstätige aus Deutschland und dem Südlichen Afrika zur Teilnahme an einem fünfwöchigen Austauschprogramm, das im August 2013 in Deutschland und im März 2014 in Namibia stattfindet. Das vom ehemaligen Bundespräsidenten Dr. Horst Köhler initiierte fünfwöchige politische Bildungsprogramm, das bereits zum siebten Mal veranstaltet wird, zielt darauf ab, die zwischen der afrikanischen Realität und ihrer Wahrnehmung in Deutschland und umgekehrt zwischen der deutschen Realität und ihrer Wahrnehmung in Afrika existierende Wissenslücke zu verkleinern.
