FAQ
It is sufficient to wait for the orientation week (and a few tips from us). Since most events do not have a limited number of participants, you can register and cancel at any time.
Approximately 2 weeks before the start, we provide the final plan on our homepage under as well as on our Facebook page. It shows all activities and events of the week with time and place.
In the summer semester, only the Master's programs start and no BA programs, therefore there is always an orientation week in the summer semester only for the Master freshmen In the winter semester, however, both MA and BA courses start, so the orientation week is held together for all of them. But don't worry, we offer the possibility to get to know only your BA or MA fellow students, e.g. through the separate "Get Together" on the first evening.

How do I use the copiers and scanners at the university?
In order to use the copiers and scanners, which are freely available in the university buildings and libraries, you need your Campus Card. You have to top up your Campus Card with credit at specially marked replenishment terminals. This credit is independent of your canteen/cafeteria credit and is only valid for copies and printouts. Here you will find more information about how to use the Campus Card for printing, scanning and copying at the university.
Lost property must generally be handed in at the office "Liegenschaften". Student ID cards can be handed in at our office as well as at the Studierendensekretariat. We will then keep the cards for one working day until we send them on to the student secretariat.
Use the O-week to get to know your fellow students. Joining student groups such as the student council or cultural and sports groups will also enable you to get to know new people quickly. On the following page you will find an overview of the student groups at the university.
