Within the Core Module Management, Innovation, Marketing (MIM), the Chair of Strategic Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship offers each term a seminar for undergraduates.
In the context of our Bachelor's seminar "Managerial Problem Solving and Communication", our business partners help us to build a bridge between theory and practice. Together we develop a real case study for our students, who will solve one of many strategic challenges our partners are currently facing. Thus, our students learn how managers can solve strategic problems and communicate their ideas and solutions efficiently and successfully.
Course language: German and English
The theory sessions, which will take place in the first half of the term, are part and parcel of the seminar.

In this course, we show you how to solve strategic problems in managerial contexts and how to successfully communicate solutions to these problems.
To do so, we teach approaches and methods from strategic management, innovation and entrepreneurship research, communication research, and leadership studies.
Once you are acquainted with these theories and methods, you will work in teams to develop recommendations and communicate concepts for a current real world managerial problem that will be presented to you each semester by a partner company of our chair.
The plenary seminar sessions typically take place during the first half of every term, and the individual team sessions take place in the second half of every term.
Further details concerning content-related requirements regarding the exam and the presentation will be disclosed during the first half of the semester.
