ESPEBO: Ways to successfully promote sustainable employee behaviour
Which motivational design principles are most effective in encouraging employees to act pro-environmentally? This project examines in particular the potential of information systems to increase the employees' motivation of environmentally friendly behaviour in the workplace.
The researcher analyse the interactions between competing institutional logics, psychological dynamics, and motivational affordances of Information Systems (IS) from a sociomaterial perspective and how they influence the effectiveness of IS-based intervention systems in organizational sustainability transformations. The project will provide insights regarding the questions which motivational design principles are most effective in encouraging employees to act pro-environmentally and how different motivational affordances match different institutional logics.
