The Chair of Development Economics (Professor Michael Grimm) of the School of Business, Economics and Information Systems of the University of Passau invites applications for the position of a Graduate Teaching Assistant in Development Economics (doctoral position).

The successful candidate will have recently gained his or her M.A./M.Sc. in Economics (with a minor or major in Development Economics) or Development Studies or be near completion. The position requires strong quantitative skills and the ability to handle and manage large and complex micro data sets in STATA. Field experience and expertise in one or several countries in the Global South is desirable. Initial experience in a teaching assistant role for economics courses would be beneficial. Candidates should be flexible team workers with good planning and organisational skills, an interest in interdisciplinary collaboration and an excellent command of both English and German.  

The position is offered at 66% full-time equivalent (0.66 FTE) and with a fixed term of three years, although extension by another year is possible.  Successful candidates can start as soon as possible, but the latest on April 1, 2024.
