New publication in Ecological Economics by Nathalie Luck and Michael Grimm.

In their paper “Experimenting with a green ‘Green Revolution’. Evidence from a randomised controlled trial in Indonesia“ they use a field experiment to test whether information and intensive training can enhance the adoption of sustainable farming practices. They find that it can, and surprisingly, that farmers were motivated not only by the price premium, i.e. the price difference between organic and conventional products, that is associated with organic products, but also by the prospect of improved soil quality.
