Last Thursday, we were delighted to host Dr. Peyman Toreini and Tamara Guhl from Allianz for an engaging industry talk in our bachelor's course "Foundations of Human-Computer Interaction". Dr. Toreini, a Human-Centered AI Specialist and former colleague of Prof. Gnewuch at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, shared interesting insights into the design and application of conversational AI, voicebots, and LLM-powered systems in customer service. Together with Tamara Guhl, they elaborated on their approach to enhancing call and chat interactions with customers with the help of conversational and generative AI, highlighting both the opportunities and challenges of integrating these technologies in a large insurance organization.
