The conference's motto was "Betriebswirtschaftliche, technische und rechtliche Herausforderungen" and it took place on Friday, 21 November 2014, at the Universität Passau.
The purpose of the multidisciplinary conference Industrie 4.0 was to look into the design tasks that result from the production vision „Industrie 4.0“, as there are, amongst others, different views from business, technical and juridical perspectives. Conceptional, empirical, and quantitave contributions from various fields were presented.
It was in a friendly and social atmosphere where the conference Industrie 4.0 afforded a good opportunity to meet and see colleagues, to talk about research projects and to keep oneself informed about the trends regarding Industrie 4.0.
