The course on psychological testing was very interesting for us as we got a completely new perspective on the subject.
In four seminars with Dr. Robert Luzsa from the chair of Psychology with focus on Human-Machine Interaction we learned everything we need to know about psychological basics, quantitative and qualitative research methodology, human-machine interaction and evaluation methods for prototypes.
All the knowledge we gained through this course was applicable to product design, marketing, usability and user experience as well as the creation of interviews and questionnaires and helped us to design better products by taking human needs and specifics into consideration.
The most important thing for us was that we learned to ask the right questions during user testing and not to put a ready-made opinion in the tester's mouth, which is not as easy as you might think at first.
Through this we were able to revise our questionnaires for user testing again and were able to get very good and helpful feedback on our prototype during the tests afterwards, which we can now use to adapt our product accordingly.
