Due to the two-day seminar with the topic Entrepreneurial Negotiation with Laura Körner and Martin Giese we have gained valuable knowledge in entrepreneurial negotiation.
The seminar is structured according to the degree of complexity of the negotiating situations, from the complexity of the topic to be negotiated to the number of negotiating parties. We started with the connection of the topic with everyday problems with the help of mentimeter. Afterwards, we had a chance to learn the various negotiation techniques. The seminar was concluded with the topic of process design of a successful negotiation, which enabled us to gain a deeper insight together with the experiences of the seminar trainers. During the seminar, thanks to professional and detailed instructions from the seminar trainers, we were able to participate in various interactive role-plays, which gave us an opportunity to learn by doing and experience the negotiating situations straight away after getting to know the theoretical parts.
The knowledge acquired in this seminar helps us to better understand negotiation situations in the future and to position ourselves accordingly more advantageously. With our start-up intention, we are going to make a lot of interactive decisions in the future and this is an important basis for the success. For us personally, the insight of Pereto Optimization is the most interesting, as negotiations have room for an enhancement of value for all parties. A strategic communication style can create added value for all parties, because we also should pay attention for the empathy besides maximizing results of the negotiations.
