The Representative Council for Academic and Artistic Staff sees itself as the representation of all members of the so-called mid-level academic staff at the University of Passau. This group includes the graduate teaching and research assistants and the teaching staff for special tasks.
Teaching assistants, especially Master's graduates, have to consider some points when filing their tax return that are not included in the relevant guidebooks. Therefore, please seek expert advice for your first income tax return.

Matriculation at the University of Passau as a doctoral student
Upon enrolment, you must pay the Student Services Association fee of 52 Euros per semester. Student status also includes free use of bus transportation in Passau.
Registration as a doctoral student with the Board of Examiners for doctoral awards of the School of Business, Economics and Information Systems
When registering, please note above all that registered doctoral students must still be enrolled as doctoral students for two full semesters. Registration for the doctoral examination is not possible before that!
The Graduate Center is open to all young researchers at the university. It supports them by offering information, advice and events as well as financial support programs.
