Overview of the governing bodies of the School of Business, Economics and Information Systems
School Board
According to Art. 31 (2) of the Bavarian Higher Education Act, the School Board decides on all issues not within the purview of another officer or governing body of the school, in particular the Dean. As a result, the School Board serves as a forum for the discussion of developments within the University and the school related to higher education policy, and decides on various key issues, such as the establishment of new degree programmes, approval of teaching assignments and guest lectures and elections of members to the various governing bodies of the school.
Board of Examiners
The Board of Examiners advises and decides upon the examination modalities, recognition of examinations taken elsewhere and other examination-related issues.
Study Subsidy Committee
The Study Subsidy Committee decides upon the use of study subsidies within the school.
Women's Representative for the School of Business, Economics and Information Systems
According to art 33 sec. 2 of the German Basic Law (Grundgesetz), women are given preference if their aptitudes, abilities and performance are equal to help achieve gender equality. The aim of this is to raise the proportion of women at all levels of academia. The Women's Representative is responsible for ensuring that female academics, teaching staff and students are not subjected to unfair treatment.
