"This award is recognition and motivation at the same time - it is the result of a great, collaborative effort of all faculties at the University of Passau that supports students in developing and implementing creative ideas," Prof. Dr. Carolin Häussler.
The „Entrepreneurial Pathfinder“ certificate is aiming at students from all faculties in all stages of their studies who are interested in the topics of entrepreneurship and digitalisation and would like to deepen their knowledge of these topics. The certificate programme „Honours Degree in Digital Technology and Entrepreneurship“ is aiming at students or doctoral students who are working on transforming a business idea into a startup. Both certificate programmes can be completed in addition to and parallel to the actual degree or doctorate. The creation and implementation of both certificate programmes is funded by the Bavarian State Ministry of Science and the Arts as part of the Zentrum Digitalisierung.Bayern (ZD.B).
The graduates of the programmes certificate acquire problem-solving skills in a special way, which is more important than ever in times of the Corona pandemic, the jury of the German Employer Award concluded. "Problem-solving skills are among the most important qualities of all for companies in Germany. Those who have them can adapt quickly to new situations, think innovatively and act in a goal-oriented manner," said BDA Executive Committee member and jury chairman Dr Gerhard F. Braun in the BDA's statement.
