The O-week starts with a small welcome by the student council - we introduce ourselves and give you an insight into what happens during the first days at the university
Below are some drop-down menus for the individual events, their description and information about registration. You don't need to register for any of the zoom events, just click on the link at the time indicated. Make sure that Zoom is properly installed on your laptop. You can find instructions on the help portal page.
According to the safety and hygiene regulations of the university: keep a distance of 1,5m between each other, wear a mouth/nose cover. If you have Covid-19 sympthoms before the O-week, do not participate! If sympthoms occur during the O-week, please inform us immediately.
During the information events we will explain everything you need to know to get started at Passau University, introduce you to some important offers of the university and explain the course of the O-week in detail. We often get the question whether participation is obligatory. This is not the case, but this date is the most important and most informative of the whole week!

Without Corona the Zoom consultation hour would actually be called "Fachschaftsdienst". At this time we are certainly always available in our office.
Since this semester is different, we will always be available at the blue marked times on Zoom and will answer your questions personally. In general you can always try to call us on the phone. We will also answer immediately via mail and social media.

With our guidelines you will navigate in a small team to about 12 stations in the entire city area. On site you have to solve small tasks or puzzles. The tasks and puzzles provide all kinds of interesting information about the local culture and history of the city and you get to know the most important stores and bridges in Passau.

The SOS timetable is an introduction to Stud.IP and should help you to create your timetable for the first semester. We will offer three different SOS timetables (BAE, Winfo, DTBS) so that you all know what to expect after this event. No previous knowledge is necessary.
One of the most beautiful things about our university in Passau, and this is proven, is the campus! Cafeteria, lecture halls, libraries, meadows, the river Inn and the student body all in one place! Especially beautiful in summer :) So that you can imagine where you would be if there was no Corona, we offer you the campus tours in small groups. Please note that due to hygiene regulations we cannot offer unlimited places and the registration will be closed after nearly 100 registrations.

A Cook&Run is a wonderful and culinary way to find new people in your area and at the same time leave the frozen pizza frozen for an evening.
After your registration you will be put in a team of two together with a suitably chosen partner. Together with your partner you will go shopping first and then prepare either a starter, main course or dessert for you and 4 other guests (two teams).
For the other two courses, the tables will turn and you will be invited to dine with a different team for each course. All you have to do is register - we will do the rest. You will receive an email the day before the Cook&Run with all the information on how to reach your partner, what you have to cook and where you have to go for the other two courses.

In order to help and support you after the orientation week this semester, we have created our new Buddy Program in cooperation with the Honors Program of the university.
The aim is to enable you to get to know your fellow students and to be supported by experienced students from the faculty in questions concerning Passau and the university. Participation in the Buddy Program is of course free of charge and not obligatory. But we recommend everyone to participate ;)

On a joint hike to what is probably the most beautiful beer garden, you will have a great view of Passau and can enjoy the culinary delights of Lower Bavaria.
