We welcome Dr. Markus Schöberl to give a guest lecture with the titel "Innovating on behalf of customers - how is Amazon doing it? Why is it always Day 1?".
Amazon has so far been quite successful in innovating on behalf of various customer groups - Retail customers, Sellers, Authors, App Developers, and in various industries or market segments (ranging from Consumer Retail to Cloud Computing to Digital Content and lately even Entertainment production). The presentation will give first hand insights of how Amazon is doing this. Specifically: What is the leadership culture like, how does Amazon think about innovation and organize for it and how does Amazon try to remain a nimble, pioneering company despite having more than 300K employees by now.
The lecture takes place in the context of our class Managing and Leading Strategic Innovation and Change on Wednesday July 19 in room HS 1 (PHIL) from 12:30 till 14:00 (s.t.). The language is English.
