On October 4, Professor König was awarded with the Habilitation Prize of the Friedrich-Alexander-University of Erlangen-Nuremberg endowed with € 2,000 and donated by the Universitätsbund. The University paid tribute to Professor König's cumulative habilitation thesis entitled „A series of essays on the heterogeneity of incumbents' responses to discontinuous technologies, executives' rhetorical personality, and general questions in strategic and innovation management." The habilitation focuses on the question of how established organizations can adapt to innovations which are discontinuous, that means radically changing paradigms of thinking.
