Citing the paper "The family innovator's dilemma: How family influence affects the adoption of discontinuous technologies by incumbent firms" by Professor König, Nadine Kammerlander (University of St. Gallen), and Albrecht Enders (IMD), which was recently published in the Academy of Management Review, which finds that family-influenced businesses tend to be highly committed to the status quo, the author argues that the Young brothers’ influence is what has preserved the band’s typical, and highly successful, style.
