The School Directorate is the executive board of the school. It consists of the Dean, the Vice Dean and the Dean of Studies. The former two are elected for a period of two years, whereas the Dean of Studies has a three-year term of office. The responsibilities of the School Dicrectorate are described in art. 28 to 30 of the Bavarian Higher Education Act (BayHschG) of 23 May 2006.
The Dean represents the school, implements the resolutions of the school board and takes certain decisions on behalf of the school.
The Vice Dean assumes the Dean's duties and responsibilities when the Dean is absent.
The Dean of Studies is responsible for the overall teaching and study done at the school. He or she ensures that the courses offered are in line with the study and examination regulations, that the degree programmes can be successfully completed within the prescribed period of study, that the students receive adequate support. The Dean of Studies also has overall responsibility for teaching evaluations, including those given by the students of the school.
