The RWI is looking for someone to help them to work with a partner in identifying study site locations for an RCT they are developing in Rwanda. They are working closely with the government and its energy agency REG to evaluate the impact of providing grants and training to small businesses to facilitate investments into productive electric machinery and appliances. The goal is to increase electricity usage in newly connected areas while simultaneously increasing productivity and profits of these businesses.
The position is for 2 months starting in March, with the potential for another 2 months, depending on how things go. You will be paid salary and all of your travel costs.
The ideal candidate has experience conducting field work in Africa and can work with data. The RWI would especially like to work with someone who is excited about rural development, micro-enterprises and/or the electricity sector.
