On 6 July 2026, Mario Braun (Senior Manager) and Sebastian Waibel (Manager) from the international management consultancy CFGI were guest speakers at the event ‘Konzernrechnungslegung und internationale Rechnungslegung’. Having already learnt the basics of international accounting in their lectures, the students were given fascinating insights into the work of CFGI’s experts in accounting consultancy. They demonstrated how they support companies with initial public offerings (IPOs) and guide them through the transition from local accounting standards to IFRS. This gave the students valuable insights into the practical application of IFRS and the associated challenges in real-world practice.
