The RWI is inviting applications for a
Ph.D. position in Development Economics at RWI’s Berlin office
Your tasks will include
• conducting independent research at the intersection of the economics of development, migration and labor;
• contributing to research projects conducted in cooperation with the Federal Ministry of Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the German development agency GIZ;
• frequent travel to selected African countries in order to support the implementation of project activities such as surveys and randomized interventions;
• completing all doctoral degree requirements; the doctorate can be awarded by an RWI-affiliated university, but Ph.D. students who are enrolled at and eligible for a doctoral degree from another university in Germany or abroad are also encouraged to apply.
